    Obs: The dancer who receives the most positive feedback from both, judges and the audience, will be crowned as the SDR International Entertainer.

  • In order to ensure a fair and unbiased selection process, the nominations for the Street Dance Roots International Awards are free of charge. This allows for a diverse range of dancers to be considered, regardless of their financial situation and their followers, students or fans.

    The public is encouraged to submit information, share links, and provide content that showcases the dancer's excellence and involvement in their respective category over the past two years.

    This includes videos of performances, testimonials from instructors or judges, and any other relevant information that supports the dancer's nomination.

    It is important to note that the selection committee will be looking for dancers who have not only displayed technical proficiency but also a strong sense of artistry and creativity. Additionally, they will be evaluating the dancers' level of engagement and impact within their dance community for at least the past two years.

  • To ensure transparency and fairness in the selection process, the SDR team will carefully review all votes and perform thorough checks automatically computed into shared spreadsheets and multiple emails that simultaneously receive notifications for every vote.

    The judges who participate in the selection process are experts in their respective fields and are chosen based on their knowledge and experience. After receiving the 12 names selected by the public they will rank them in first, second, and third position.

    The SDR team is responsible for checking the votes and in case a tied occurs all the judges from other categories are called to vote again for this particular winner.

  • Part of the process is online and can can be followed on SDR social medias, like Instagram and Youtube, but the winners will be announced in a live event on the evening of December the 10th at the Second Avenue Saloon in Upland, California.

  • Starting on 1st of July the public nominations were extended until the September, the 15th of 2023.

    The voting period lasts for a month, starting from October 1st. This gives everyone ample time to participate, sharing information on social media, talking to friends and family encouraging others to vote as well.

    The 12 semifinalists are ranked by the judges and announced in a live event on the evening of December, the 10th at the Second Avenue Saloon - Upland, California.
